Today is my middle nephew's 11th birthday ... Happy Birthday Matthew!

Here are a few great pictures of him....

I wish I had a better picture of Matty, but when he was little, his hair was AWESOME! It was so fuzzy and just stood up and it was adorable!

See ... Matthew was a cool dude before he was even a year old!!!
Love your eyes Matthew! Matty had the best hair, the biggest brown eyes and the chubbiest cheeks!
Oh yeah, ready for a fun-filled day!
Matthew and Murphy ... what a great combination :O)
This is Matthew in training ... he is getting ready so when he's much bigger he can learn to ride Uncle Dave's Harley ...
Bubbles ... bubbles ... bubbles ... Matthew having a great time in Nene's bathtub
Off to school ...
Matthew and Uncle Dave ... see, that's the Harley he's gonna teach you on :O)
Matthew and puppy Shortstop
Trick - or - Treat ...
Matthew is a funny funny boy and can always make you laugh :O) He's smart, on the chess club at school and excellent in Soccer!

Goodies In The Mail

Happy Holidays ... Happy Holidays ... look at the goodies I received in the mail yesterday from one of my schools. It was a basket filled with cookies and candy and chocolate covered pretzels ... it is delicious!

It's from a shop in New York called Perfect Endings Bakery.

I hope everyone is getting their Christmas projects finished and all ready for the big day! I know I have one thing to complete and i don't think that's gonna happen ... however, my shopping and wrapping is done, cookies are baked and all is well in Ohio ... now if it would just SNOW!

Have a great week-end everyone!

Brrrrr . . . . .

Hi Everyone! Happy Thursday! I have nothing new to post, but it sure is COLD here in Northwest Ohio! At noon today it was 13 degrees and the wind chill is 8 below! I am so staying inside in my jammies today! When hubby leaves for work i am going to pound out some cleaning, get some laundry going and then while i watch Survivor i'm going to wrap Christmas presents!

Hope you are having a warm and toasty day :O)

Betsy's Runner

Hi Everyone! Happy Sunday! Here in my part of Ohio it is a very mild and sunny day. High in the upper 30's but lots of sunshine!

I haven't done a whole lot of sewing that i can show because the holidays are upon us, but here is a picture of the table runner I made for my SIL. It turned out so cute and i think it looks much better in person!

And here's a picture of the boys' dog ... Shortstop ... isn't he just a ham :O)
Probably won't have much to post this week unless i get working on my December Schnibble, so until then, have a wonderful week!

November Schnibble Complete!

WHEW! All I can say is I'm glad November is over and my Schnibble is finished! This months schnibble just didn't do anything for me until i decided on the fabric, then i got in to it until it came time to put the squares together. HOLY TOLEDO! There wasn't one block that i didn't have to ripped out because i assembled it wrong and there was one block i ripped out 4 times. This project couldn't be done soon enough! Happy Monday!!!

Happy Monday :O(

Here is a picture of my first 8 blocks for the November Schnibble. I managed to do these this weekend. I did another block tonight, but when I started the 2nd block my machine decided it just wanted to jam up so I got frustrated and walked away :O) I think i may be in the market for a new machine in the very near future. Mine is almost 2 years old but i've done 18 quilts and many runners on it and it's just starting to frustrate me! So tell me, what kind of machine do you have and do you like it?

Would you buy it again?

What do you like about it?

i'm thinking Bernina, Pfaff or Janome. One that is a real workhorse that I could actually do some stippling with on my quilts.

HELP! I'm so open to suggestions!

Today is my oldest nephews birthday ... ALEX is 12 today!!! Here are a few pictures of him ...

This is Alexander's first birthday ... he sure loved his cake!

This is Alex at Halloween hangin out with dad.

Loved his car!! I just love this picture. My dad is a fireman and Alex was watching a video of something to do with a firetruck and he would go put his firemans hat on, get his snowboots on and grab the hose to mommy's sweeper and pretend to be a fireman. It was adorable!

This is Alex, the puppy Shortstop, and his bestest buddy Murphy!

Alex LIVES for baseball! He is on a traveling team and spends much of his summer playing baseball. His practices start in January if you can believe that. You go Alex, I'll need someone to take care of me when I'm old :O)

Once again, baseball

Different Nov Schnibble Fabric

It's sure a good thing that I can change my mind because I'm pretty good at it! Remember this fabric ... well it was suppose to be for my November Schnibble ... but the other night i got to thinking that i would rather use some of my scraps for this schnibble and keep this 1930s for another one... So this is the fabric i'm using for the baskets on the November schnibble ...
And this is the fabric i'm using for the flowers on the November schnibble...i just think using these bright colors will really make this pattern pop.
So this evening I'm going out to dinner with the girls and then i hope to start cutting my squares out tonight when i get home.

Hope ya'll have a great weekend and hopefully i'll have something to post :O)

Monday night i put up the Christmas tree (pic below) and the lights outside and that is about it! i haven't even started my November Schnibble, but hubby works this weekend so i'm sure i will be working on it a bunch then if i'm not Christmas shopping or out to dinner with the girls which is the norm when the boys are working :O) Hopefully i'll have something more to post about this weekend, but until then, happy stitching!

So Much Accomplished!

What a great week-end! I got so much accomplished! Binding is on everything and i even had time to make a Christmas table topper. This week i'm going to get that quilted and bound and then i hope to quilt and bind my red white and blue table topper that has been haunting me! Here is a picture of the Christmas topper and it was so quick and easy to make! You can find the free pattern here. Just scroll down towards the bottom and click on Free Patterns...ENJOY! Oh yeah ... and i need to get started on my November Schnibbles. Here is the fabric i'm doing it in. I decided to go with 1930's type fabric so this is what i found at the Door Mouse. I figure it will be a cute topper for the Spring.
Have a great week!
