After he died I told my aunt that I would make a quilt for her out of uncle Walt's shirts and pants if she would like ... so here is a picture of the quilt. I decided to paper piece an airplane to put in the center of the quilt ... after the quilt was laid out and put together it was so ironic that if you look at the plane it looks like it is in the middle of the letter "W". I'm sure uncle Walt would love it too!

Luvin Applique!
OH MY! Well, yesterday I took an applique class and I luved it! Came home last evening from dinner and appliqued my eggs. It was a pretty simple project, but I so can't wait to get started on bigger projects. I am heading to Country Fabrics this week for their sale. It is an awesome shop in Shiloh, Ohio where they still sell quilt fabric for $8 and $9 a yard...and I have three applique projects that I will be purchasing fabric for =)
So here is a picture of my towel.

Chevron ...
Well the quilt is together but I'm going to add another three rows or so...currently it's 90 wide by 83.
Since it's another snowy cold week-end in Ohio it'll be nice to stay in and sew =)
Have a great week-end!

The Chevron has Begun =)
Well, it was a chevron kinda weekend...I didn't get as much done as I wanted, but the first five rows are put together, the next 8 rows sewn together and I have another 2 to put together...currently it is 90" wide and I think I am going to add another 8 rows or so...hopefully I don't run out of Kansas Troubles because wouldn't it be terrible to have to order more =)
Hope you are having a great week!

Happy To Be Quilting Again =)
Ahhhh....so happy to be quilting again! It's been a crazy year...the new house is done, we are moved and finally settled and things are back to normal!
So, here in Ohio it's going to be a cold and blustery weekend with lots of snow coming this evening so I am starting a new quilt. It will be in Kansas Troubles and started out as a throw but hubby said it needs to be bigger so I guess I will be cutting more blocks and making this about 90 x 90 (possibly bigger) and it will be going on our bed.
