Pinkey

Here she is.....isn't she ADORABLE! I have given her the name Pinkey. I just love the colors and the fun prints...I'm so happy with how she turned out! She's not real big, only about 38" x 46" but just the prefect size to use once a year...however...would you put a border on? If so...which material would you use? or...would you just call it a day? This pattern was so fun to do and it went together pretty quick. It is called Crazy Eights by Bits N Pieces. I'm thinking about having it long-armed with hearts but not sure if I'll have her use red thread or pink...what do you think?
Well, since this throw was suppose to be my project this weekend I think I'll have to find another throw that I can start working on. A few weeks back I posted some Christmas material that I purchased at the Door Mouse and was planning on using this pattern for that as well, maybe I can knock that one out this weekend too.
Well, I think it's time to sign off for the evening. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and if you are in the frigid weather...stay warm and if you are in sunny and warm weather, think of me...I'd love to be there right now on my Harley :O)

I love your quilt! I quilted one like this for a client that didn't have a border, and it looked really cute. I guess it's just personal preference.

It's very pretty as it is Lisa, but if you were going to add a border, maybe pick out the red in it - same goes for the thread for quilting :0)

lovely quilt.........can you use a verigated red/pink thread?

I love it, it is so pretty! I think a solid border would be perfect, in red or maybe a small one in pink and then one in red (solids) would be my choice.

Lisa that is just gorgeous....what about a small dark pink border and then if you have any leftovers fabrics do a scappy border.

I guess I would border your quilt with the LOVE fabric and then bind it with the darker pink. It is beautiful as it is so I guess it just depends on if it is large enough for you.

I love it! I like to stipple myself, so would do that, but the hearts would be very cute.
the hardest part of quilting for me is picking colours that match.
You don't have the problem, obviously...

I love the Valentine fabric and your quilt looks great!! I think I would put on 2 borders, one thin and one thick. The thin one would be pink and then the thick would be red. Definitely hearts quilting!! Again, very cute!

What a happy quilt! I think pink thread would be pretty for the quilting; it would be softer than the red. But you know everybody is going to have a different opinion! :)
