Uncle Walt

In October 2012 we unexpectedly lost my Uncle Walt...he was an amazing man and loved dearly.  One thing he loved was flying...he had his own plane and luved taking us up in it.

After he died I told my aunt that I would make a quilt for her out of uncle Walt's shirts and pants if she would like ... so here is a picture of the quilt.  I decided to paper piece an airplane to put in the center of the quilt ... after the quilt was laid out and put together it was so ironic that if you look at the plane it looks like it is in the middle of the letter "W".  I'm sure uncle Walt would love it too!
