Here is a picture of my first 8 blocks for the November Schnibble. I managed to do these this weekend. I did another block tonight, but when I started the 2nd block my machine decided it just wanted to jam up so I got frustrated and walked away :O) I think i may be in the market for a new machine in the very near future. Mine is almost 2 years old but i've done 18 quilts and many runners on it and it's just starting to frustrate me! So tell me, what kind of machine do you have and do you like it?
Would you buy it again?
What do you like about it?
i'm thinking Bernina, Pfaff or Janome. One that is a real workhorse that I could actually do some stippling with on my quilts.
HELP! I'm so open to suggestions!

I just recently got an old machine. It is a singer 401a and I could not be happier. I have never had a fancy one though. I am in love with my machine!!!
I have a Bernina 440QE and I can't say enough good things about it. :)
My Janome is 30 years old , I could probably drop it off a cliff and it would still work .
i have a Bernina QE and I LOVE it! It's amazing!
Your Schnibble looks great! I have a Bernina Virtuosa 160 and it is 10 years old. It has never broken and is very reliable. I love it!
I have a Pfaff 2056 and 2170 and I love them both so much that I wouldn't even trade them in for a newer Pfaff! I have never had trouble even for a second with either of them, and I do a LOT of sewing and embroidering!

I have a thirty year old Bernina 830e, and I love it. It was recommended by my mom who was a home economics teacher and dealt with teenagers on sewing machines everyday.
I would say Bernina I love mine, but stay away from those with 9MM feed dogs. They do not sew a nice quarter inch seam - no matter what anyone tells you. I also have a Janome Gem for travel and it is a real little work horse.
I have a Pfaff. It's been great. I must have put 300,000 miles on it by now! I think I sew just about every day. But I was thinking about a new machine and really liked Jodi's (Pleasant Home)Elna. It's made by Janome but not as costly. She did a comparison on one of her posts. http://www.pleasant-home.com
I love my Pfaff 2040, but it does not have the knee lift that I would like.
I have a Janome 6600P...and it is a very good machine...a little heavy to cart around but otherwise fantastic...love the blocks
I have a Bernina 910 and love, love, love it! My husband bought it for me when I first started quilting. I have a Viking Diamond, very expensive, and have had nothing but trouble with it from the start. It constantly breaks threads, has been looked at millions of times; had every adjust in the world and will still break threads and frustrate me! I am not getting another one--I did have a Viking Limited Edition SE and wished I had never traded it in on the Diamond! I would go Bernina, or even Janome.
I love my Janome 6600....great machine!
I have a Janome 4800, love it but wished I'd hung out for the next model up the 6600. The 6600 has a longer neck which is great for those large quilts, and a knee lift and lots of lovely stitches along with a acura feed foot thingie:) I'm a Janome girl through and through.
